Shaheed Momin

MANAGING PARTNER

Shaheed Momin is the Managing Partner of 865 Capital, where he leads investment strategy, capital formation, and portfolio management across real estate and select operating businesses. With a career defined by complex investments, restructuring situations, and value-creation initiatives, Shaheed brings an operator-informed, capital-markets-driven approach to investing.

Prior to founding 865 Capital, Shaheed began his career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and strategic transactions across the real estate and industrial sectors. He later joined Deutsche Bank’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG), where he focused on strategic advisory, balance-sheet optimization, and capital markets execution for banks, specialty finance companies, and asset managers.

Shaheed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of 865 United Nations Plaza, a condominium development in Manhattan, providing oversight on asset management, capital planning, and governance.

Hugh Jenkin

MANAGING PARTNER

Hugh Jenkin is a Managing Partner of 865 Capital where he focuses on deal sourcing and execution. Prior to this, Hugh worked in energy Private Equity for Apollo Global Management, Ares Management and Glencore, participating in over $2 billion of signed transactions across multiple energy sub-sectors. Hugh brings expertise in business development along with the evaluation and management of complex transactions.

Hugh began his career in 2006 at Credit Suisse in the Leveraged Finance investment banking group focused predominantly on real estate and financial sponsor transactions.

Hugh holds an MBA from Columbia University and an HBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
